HMM Portal User Location Access

Use this page to give or restrict access to locations for portal users.

To access this page, go to your Business Central environment, then go to HMM Portal User Setup > [Select a user] > Assign Location Rights.

Assign Location Access for Portal Users

In the HMM Portal User Location Access page you can add new users assign access, either give or restrict, to locations for handheld portal users.

  1. In Business Central go to the HMM Portal User Setup page.
  2. Select a user who you want to assign location rights for.
  3. On the Action tab, select Assign Location Rights.
  4. To give a user access to a location, select the Access checkbox for that location.
  5. To restrict a user from accessing a location or working with it, clear the Access checkbox for that location.

    Tip: You can select Mark All or Unmark All to quickly assign access for all locations.

Fields

The following field boxes are available: 

HMM portal user location access fields
Field Description
Header
HMM Portal User Name Displays the name of the selected user.
Lines
Location Code Displays the location code.
Location Description Displays the location description.
Access

Select to give access to the location to the portal user.

  • On: The user has access to this location and can use the handheld portal with that location.
  • Off: The user does not have access to the location.

Actions

The following field boxes are available:

Action Description
Check All Select to give access to all the locations, for the selected user.
Un-Check All Select to restrict access to all the locations, for the selected user.
