Use this page to see and change basic settings for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Role Center

The Role Center is a standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central feature. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

The following Multi-Entity Management roles have been created to provide easy access to the necessary functionality and pages for the different user needs from the home page.

Localization

This application supports the following localizations:

  • Malta
  • Romania
  • German
  • Mexico
  • South Africa
  • Australia
  • MEMAdministrator: Provides easy access to only the Multi-Entity ManagementSetuppages.

Change the Default Entity

For Multi-Entity Management, you can select a default entity to use for all transactions (until you change the default entity again). Setting the default entity allows you to work more efficiently as you will not need to specify the entity for each transaction.

If you do not want to use the default entity for a specific transaction or record, you can change it at the time you enter the transaction or update a record.

To change the default entity, follow these steps: 

  1. On the My Settings page, change the Entity Code to the entity that you want to use as the default value.
  2. Select OK.

Fields

This page contains the following fields: 

Field Description
Entity Code

Displays your default entity. You can change the entity to another one to which you have access.

The default entity is used for all transactions during the current session. You can change the entity on an as needed basis.

When you leave this value empty, the default entity that appears in any transaction is the first entity from the list of entities to which you have access.
