PLM Invoice Creator
Use this page to create invoices for several leases in a single action. The lines that are available for creating invoices are charge detail lines where the status of the charge is active or last billing.
Some of the default values in the header are from the PLM Property Lease Management Setup page.
When this page is opened from the PLM Lease page, some values in the header are automatically updated based on the selected lease and all lines that are available for the invoice are readily available in the list.
Create Invoices
To create invoices, follow these steps:
- Search for the Invoice Creator and select the corresponding link for the page.
Or if you are creating invoices for a single lease from the PLM Lease, select Create Invoice. - Select the Lease Type for which to create invoices.
If you opened the Invoice Creator for a single lease, this value is automatically selected based on the lease and cannot be edited. - To consolidate the invoice lines, turn on Consolidate.
- Specify the date range for the lines you want to include.
- Specify the Invoice Date, and select the Posting Option.
- In the Billing Details Lines, select the lines for which you want to create invoices and select Process.
- Email Invoice Log: Every time that an invoice is created, an invoice log file is also generated. This field allows you to email that invoice log by activating the Email Invoice Log switch, and then entering the email address in the corresponding field.
-
You can select multiple time period by navigating to the Billing Details Lines section, clicking on the kebab menu (the three vertical dots), and selecting Select More from the pop-up menu. Then select multiple lines by clicking on the corresponding radio button(s).
After processing is completed, the following occurs:
- For expense leases, purchase invoices or posted purchase invoices are created.
- For revenue leases, sales invoices or posted sales invoices are created.
The sales and purchase invoices created from this process cannot be edited. If the invoice is correct, you must delete the sales or purchase invoice and then create it again.
Dimensions are copied from the lease to the sales or purchase invoice as follows:
- Dimension values for the charge are copied from Property Lease Management to the sales or purchase invoice lines.
- Dimension values for the sales or purchase invoice header are copied from the customer or vendor record.
- When the Consolidate option is turned on and multiple charges are consolidated on the invoice, the sales or purchase invoice header are copied from the customer or vendor record.
