Place Schedules on Hold
To apply a hold on several deferral schedules, follow these steps:
- If needed, turn on Transfer Balance to On Hold Account.
- If you turned on the option to transfer the balances, you can check the Account Details options.
- As needed, change the General Journal template and batch name.
- Specify the Posting Date.
- Specify the on hold accounts for the balance transfer,
- Select the deferral schedules that you want to put on hold.
- Select Actions > Process > Set On Hold.
The statuses of the deferral schedules that were put on hold are updated to On Hold.
If the Transfer Balance to On Hold Account option is turned on, journal entries for transferring the balances to the on hold accounts are created.
Fields
The following field boxes are available:

Select whether the remaining balances for the deferral schedules are transferred to on hold accounts after the hold is applied.

| General Journal Template | Specify the template for the journal entry. The default is from the setup. |

| Posting Date | Specify the posting date for the deferral schedule balance transfers. The current date is the default value. |
| On Hold Accounts | Select the on hold accounts for the deferral schedule balances: revenue, discount, and COGS. |
