Alignment - Annual Billing Frequency: Example
This example provides information on aligning a billing schedule with an annual billing frequency.
The billing periods are as follows:

The alignment date is May 1, 2010.
After the alignment is processed, the billing periods are changed to:

The unit price for the first period is pro-rated.
For any billing frequency other than annually and one-time billing frequency, the alignment is for the date only. For example, , by using the same day each month for a monthly frequency.
The period is shortened or expanded for the alignment, depending on the specified alignment date. For example, the billing period is October 10, 2011 – October 09, 2012 1000.00.
- When alignment date is September 01, 2012, the billing period is shortened to October 10, 2011 – September 01, 2012, 896.17 (when Pro-rate Amount is selected)
- When alignment date is December 01, 2012, the billing period is expanded to October 10, 2011 – December 01, 2012, 1144.8 (when Pro-rate Amount is selected)
