Prod. Order Routing
Routings are used to visualize and direct the manufacturing process. Routings are the basis for scheduling process, capacity, assignment of materials needs, and manufacturing documents. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.
This page can be access from any of the Production Order pages:
- Planned Production Orders
- Simulated Production Orders
- Firm Planned Production Orders
- Released Production Orders
- Finished Production Orders
Work and machine centers can be added to this page based on the work center security settings on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page. Also, if a production order line item's routing center belong to an entity to which you do not have access, you can access the work or machine center for the production line item regardless of the entity of the line item. The work center security is bypassed for the production order line item to ensure that when reviewing and editing the routing for the production line item, none of the work or machine centers are hidden.
