Chart of Accounts Report
This Multi-Entity Management version of this report is a copy of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central report and the report name is preceded with MEM. Use the Entity Filter under the Dimension Filters section of the report request page to select a range of entities or specific entities to appear on the report.
For information about the report, refer to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.
Based on the security settings on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page, the generated report(s) shows only the records that belong to entities to which you have access and match the other criteria that you specified. MEM security settings can restrict the visibility and access to the following types of records based on the entities to which you have access: bank account, customer, fixed asset, item, location, and vendor.
- When an Entity Filter is specified, the amounts per account based on transactions for the selected entities appears on the report.
- When an Entity Filter is not specified, the amounts per account based on the transactions for the entities to which you have access appear on the report.
Chart of Accounts by Entity
This Multi-Entity Management report has all the same features and functionality as the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central report except the data on the report is grouped by entity. When multiple entities are selected for the report, each entity starts printing on a separate page from the previous entity. Use the Entity Filter above the Dimension Filters section of the report request page to select a range of entities or specific entities to appear on the report.
G/L Balance by Dimension
A report matrix that shows General Ledger balances by the entity code can be run from the Chart of Accounts page with the following action: Related > Balance > G/L Balance by Dimension. The dimension that is used for the Multi-Entity Management entity is set up on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page. When generating the report matrix, note the following:
- When the report matrix is generated for the fist time, the entity code filter is automatically updated with a filter value based on the entities to which you have access.
- The entity code filter has a 250 character limit. As a result, the filter value is truncated so the length is equal to or less than 250 characters, which means the report matrix must be generated multiple times as needed to get all the entities you want.
- When this report matrix is generated subsequent times, the entity code filter is changed such that any range values are expanded to separate entity code values. Also, with the 250-character limit, the subsequent entity code filter is truncated and will be different from the first filter used.
For example, when the report is run the first time, the entity code filter value might be '000'...'600'|'900'. When the report is run a subsequent time, the entity code filter value becomes '000'|'100'|'200'|'300'|'400'|'500'|'600'|'900'.

Actions
The following actions are available:

Actions > IC Suite > Synchronize |
Synchronize GL Accounts to IC Endpoints. As a best practice, if "Disable Auto Synchronization" is set to true, on the Intercompany FastTab of the Multi-Entity Management Setup page, when changes are made to any record on this page, run this action to ensure that all affected Intercompany Suite partners are updated as well. |
