Product Registration

Review this information for registering Property Lease Management. By registering the Property Lease Management, you can use it as a trial version or use it as a licensed version based on your license purchase.

The product registration is required for new installations. If you do not register Property Lease Management, you will not be able to use it and should uninstall from in Extension Management.

Register the Product

After you install the Property Lease Management, the Product Registration appears when you use any page that has Property Lease Management functionality.

To register Property Lease Management, follow these steps:

  1. Install a new instance of Property Lease Management.

    2. After the installation, the Product Registration appears.

  2. On the Welcome page, select Next.
  3. On the End user License Agreement page, accept the agreement and select Next.
  4. On the Billing Currency Setup page, select the currency you want to use for your paid subscription and select Next.

    5. Note icon. Note: If you select the wrong currency, you must contact Binary Stream to change it.

  5. On the Finish page, select Finish. If you need, select Back to make any changes.

After the product registration is completed, a customer number is generated. You can review the customer number and all Binary Stream product registrations for the customer on the About Binary Stream Software Inc. page.

Enhanced Onboarding for MEM Evaluation Users

We are introducing a new onboarding experience for users who download the MEM environment for evaluation through the Binary Stream website. This includes a Welcome banner with a guided checklist to help new users navigate the app independently.

Note icon. Note: New features will only activate if MEM is installed via the sign-up context URL. Installations from other sources will not include the onboarding enhancements.

Product Registration Configuration

When registering the product using the signup context URL, the registration interface presents the following option:

  • Install MEM Sample Data (Enabled by default)

For full functionality of signup context features (including onboarding workflows), this option must remain enabled during product registration. Disabling this setting will prevent activation of key evaluation features. This option should only be disabled if the user mistakenly accessed the product registration screen without intending to initiate a new evaluation installation.

Note icon. Note: The option to disable it exists solely as a safeguard to prevent overwriting data in an existing database.

Enhancement Features

The following new features are designed to streamline the MEM onboarding process:

  1. Role Configuration: The system automatically assigns the MEM Evaluation Role for signup context URL installations. This role modifies the user homepage to prioritize these key links:

  • Multi-Entity Management setup and configuration tools (Dimension Values, MEM Intercompany Setup, MEM Entity Setup/Allocations)

  • Core transaction documents (Sales Invoice, Purchase Orders)

  • Reporting tools (Financial Reports)

  1. Sample Data Implementation

  • MEM Balance Sheet by Entity: All evaluation instances include preloaded sample data visible to all demo users.

  • MEM Elimination Journal: Configured with a dedicated Elimination entity, pre-flagged Due To/Due From accounts, and sample elimination journal entries.

  1. Guided Tours

  • MEM Setup: Walks users through Entity Dimension/Label fields, Actions menu, and Security configuration.

  • Sales Invoice: Highlights multi-entity fields including Company Code (header/line level) and Allocation Template (line level).
