PLM Space Change Wizard
Use this wizard to change the lowest level for an existing lease. This wizard simplifies the process for when a customer or vendor changes the lowest level during the course of their lease.
When moving out, the customer or vendor must continue to use the same category levels that have been set up. Also, if a meter is attached to the lease, the customer or vendor can continue to use the same meter or use a different meter.
If you want to use a different category, you must terminate the current lease, and then create a lease with the different category for the customer or vendor.
After you complete the wizard for changing the space, you can review the lease on the PLM Lease page and, if needed, make any changes.
Note: Only categories or leases with levels 1 to 3 can be selected in this wizard. Categories or leases that have no required levels (for example, equipment leases) are not available in this wizard.
Tip: As a best practice for leases that use the sales based reconciliation functionality, run the Sales Based Reconciliation before using this wizard.

Step 2: New Lease Space
Select the current lowest level from which you want to move, and then select the new lowest level into which you want to move. When you first get to this step, the list shows the current lowest levels for the lease. To select new lease space, follow these steps:
- In the list, select the lowest level from which you want to move.
- Select Lease Line > Move Space.
- In the dialog that appears, select through the levels and select the lowest level of the new lease space.
After the new lease space is selected, it appear in the list below the list of current lease spaces. The end date of the current lease space is updated to the space change date less one day. The start date of the new lease space is the space change date.
Step 3: Lease Charges
Review the list of charges for the new lease spaces. All charges from the current lease space are copied to the new lease space. This page is divided into the following lists.
- The top list shows the list of new lease spaces were added in the previous step. Select a line from the list to review charges.
- The lower list is for reviewing the charges for the selected new lease space. Remove, add, or edit the charges as needed. These columns for each line are the same columns when adding charges to a lowest level line on the PLM Lease Chargespage.
After the space change wizard finishes, the PLM Lease page appears. Go to the Lease Line (Lowest Level) FastTab to review the lines. Make any other changes as needed.
