Area Tracking History
Use this dialog to review a history of all changes for the total area and the leasable area of the a particular property level.
Modify Property Area (Setup)
When accessing this dialog from the Properties page, you can review the history of all changes for the selected property level.
Modifying the Area
To change the total or leasable area of a property level, follow these steps:
- On the Properties page, select a category.
- For a property level, change the Total area or Leaseable area and press Tab to move the mouse cursor out of the cell.
The Leaseable area must be equal to or less than the Total area. - On the Area Tracking dialog specify a Description for the change and the Effective date, and select OK.
- When you see a dialog asking you to roll down the changes to all affected leases using the property level, select Yes.
After the changes are processed, the following occurs:
- A line is added to the Area Tracking History to reflect the change.
- The leased and chargeable area for the affected leases are updated and the billing lines are recalculated.
Note: If the effective date of a change is earlier than any of the previous changes for all affected lowest levels, the rolldown validations will fail and the area changes are returned to their previous values.
Fields
This dialog contains the following fields. All values are read-only except for Area type filter, Description, and Effective date.

Effective date |
Specify the effective date for the area change. The default value is the current date but can be changed as needed. Only the effective date for the most current line can be edited and cannot be earlier than the dates of the previous changes. All lines prior the most current line cannot be edited. |
Old value | Displays the previous area value. |
New value | Displays the updated area value. |
Description | Specify a description for the change. This value can be updated as needed. |
Change date | Displays the date on which the area change occurred. |
User ID | Displays the user ID that made the change. |
Modify Lowest Level Area (Lease)
When this dialog is accessed from the Lease Details, you can review the history of all changes for the lowest level.
Modifying the Area
To change the leased or chargeable area of a lowest level, follow these steps:
- On the Lease Details, select a lease.
- On the Levels 1, 2, 3 FastTab for the lowest level, change the Leased area or Chargeable area and press Tab to move the mouse cursor out of the cell.
If the Chargeable area is the same value as the Leased area, changing the Leased area automatically updates the Chargeable area.
The Chargeable area must be equal to or less than the Leased area. - On the Area Tracking dialog specify a Description for the change and the Effective date, and select OK.
After the changes are processed, the following occurs:
- A line is added to the Area Tracking History to reflect the change.
- The leased and chargeable area for the affected leases are updated and the billing lines are recalculated.
