CPI Schedule

Use this page to enter the Consumer Price Index (CPI) values that you obtain from the Internet to help determine the charge details. You can create many CPI schedules based on the latest dates and statistics.

Go online to get the latest CPI schedule for your country or region.

If CPI schedule is used for the price adjustment of any lease, you cannot delete the CPI schedule.

Create a CPI Schedule

To create a CPI schedule, follow these steps:

  1. Select New.
  2. Specify a unique CPI schedule identifier and a Description.
  3. To use the CPI index value, set Use index to Yes.
  4. For each line you add, do the following:
    1. Select Add line.
    2. If Use index is Yes, specify the CPI date and CPI index value.
    3. If Use index is No, specify the Effective Date and the Percent.
    4. Repeat these steps to add more lines.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Repeat these steps to add more CPI schedules.

On the Billing Lines page, use the CPI schedule for escalations that are applied to charges for a lease.

Edit a CPI Schedule

To edit a CPI schedule, follow these steps:

  1. From the list, select a CPI schedule, and select Edit.
  2. Edit the header values as needed.
  3. In the Lines, edit the values as needed.
  4. To add a line, select where you want to add a line, select Add line, and specify the date and index or percent value.
  5. To remove a line, select the line you want to remove, and select Remove.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Select Update charges to update any escalations that use the CPI schedule.

To remove a record, select the line that you want to delete, and select Delete.

Note icon. Note: CPI schedules that are attached to escalations cannot be deleted.

Fields

This page contains the following fields: 

Field Description
CPI schedule

Specify a unique identifier for the CPI Schedule.

Description

Specify a description for the CPI schedule.
Use index

Select whether to use the CPI index for the escalation.

  • Yes: Uses the CPI index for the escalation.
  • No: Uses the percent value for the escalation.

When this option is changed from Yes to No, the CPI index entries in the list are cleared.

List  
CPI/Effective date

Specify the CPI date or effective date for when the rate is used for calculations.
CPI index

Specify the CPI value.

Percent Specify a percent value. This value must be between zero and 100.

Schedule Update Buttons Table
Button Description
Save Save Saves the record and any changes to the page.
New Adds a line where you can create a record.
Delete Deletes a record.
Update charges Recalculates and updates the charge details for all charges that use the selected schedule.
