Deferral Balance

Use this page to view the balance of the deferral account for one or more deferral schedules as of a specified date. You can use this information to reconcile the balance from the General Ledger to the deferral schedules.
Each line displayed corresponds to a single deferral schedule with the totals showing at the bottom.
To see specific transactions for a deferral schedule used in the calculation, use the Audit Trail page.
If the deferral balance is zero, the deferral schedule does not appear in this form.
- before the deferral schedule is created
- after all the lines have been recognized
- after the deferral schedule is canceled with cancellation entries
Note: The amounts on this page appear as positive numbers for debit balances and negative numbers for credit balances. The way amounts appear is consistent with how amounts appear in the General Ledger inquiries.

Generate Inquiry
To generate an inquiry, follow these steps:
- Set Batch job data to No.
- The default As of date is the current date. Change the date if needed.
- Select the Select button and add data filters for the data you want on the report.
- Select how you want to report to Group by, select a summary or detail Report type, and select Report.
The inquiry is generated and appears on the page.
View Batch Inquiry
To generate an inquiry for the batch job, follow these steps:
- Set Batch job data to Yes.
- Select the Select button.
The inquiry is generated using the settings from the Deferral Balance Batch Processing page and all records that satisfy the criteria appear on the page.

Determines whether the inquiry data that appears on the page is based on the settings from the Deferral Balance Batch Processing page.

As of date |
Specify the as of date for which you want to view deferral schedules. |
Report Options | |
Group by |
Select how the data is organized in the report. The data can be organized by the following groups:

Report type | Specify the report type to generate: Summary or Detail. |
Lines | |
Displays all records as of the specified date. The information for each lines includes:

Totals | |
Original deferral amount | Displays a sum total of the original deferral amount for all lines. |
Stubbed amount | Displays a sum total of the stubbed amount for all lines. |
Recognized amount | Displays a sum total of the recognized amount for all lines. |
Deferral balance | Displays a sum total of the deferral balance for all lines. |
Buttons
This page contains the following buttons:
Button | Description |
Select | Opens a query window, where you can add user-defined parameters to the query. When you select OK, the query is applied to the data, and the lines are updated. |
Report |
Generates the report for all records that satisfy the specified criteria. This report can be printed or exported to Microsoft Excel. |
