Worksheet Fields Table

Entity Code

Select an entity for the worksheet.

The default value is your default entity that you selected in My Settings. If you did not set up the default entity, the default entity is first entity in the list that you have access.

Lines
Entity Code

Select an entity for the worksheet line. When a line is created from the calculate function, the default value is based on the Inventory Posting option selected on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page.

  • When the option is Entity From Location, the entity of each line is assigned to the entity assigned to the location. Inventory items not assigned to a location are assigned the entity from the header.
  • When the option is Entity From Item, the entity of each line is assigned to the entity assigned to the item.

For lines that are manually created, the default entity value is from the header of the worksheet.

Reports

To access the report pages select Reports and then select the report you want. The Multi-Entity Management version of these reports are a copy of the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central report with MEM preceding the report name.

  • MEM Availability Status (Inventory Availability)
  • MEM Status
  • MEM Inventory - Availability Plan
  • MEM Inventory Order Details
  • MEM Purchase Order Status (Inventory Purchase Orders)

For information on these reports, refer to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

In the Multi-Entity Management versions, use the Entity Filter to select a range of entities or specific entities to appear on the report. The default value of the Entity Filter is your default entity.

  • When the Entity Filter contains specific entities, the report shows only the records for the specified entities.
  • When the Entity Filter contains a range of entities, the report shows only the records within the specified entity range.
  • When the Entity Filter is empty, the report shows all records that belong to entities to which you have access.

MEM Calculate Plan - Req. Wksh.

To access this page select Process > Calculate Plan. Use this function to calculate a replenishment plan for items and stockkeeping units that have been set up with a replenishment system of Purchase or Transfer. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

Fields (Calculate Plan)

This page contains the following fields:

Inventory Entity Code Table
Field Description
Inventory Entity Code

Select an entity or a range of entities for restricting the inventory items that are used in the supply and demand calculations. When the value is empty, all entities to which you have access are included as the filter.

The default value is your default entity that you selected in My Settings. If you did not set up the default entity, the default entity is first entity in the list that you have access.

The inventory items that are included are based on the Inventory Posting option selected on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page.

  • When the option is Entity From Location, all inventory items are included based on the entity assigned to the location. Inventory items from locations not assigned an entity are excluded from the calculations. However, inventory items not assigned to a location are included in the calculations.
  • When the option is Entity From Item, all inventory items are included based on the entity assigned to the item. Inventory items that are not assigned an entity are excluded from the calculations.
However, inventory items not assigned to a location are included in the calculations. For these items, the entity for the line is from the header.

Also, locations and inventory items are included based on whether item and location security are turned on on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page.
