Vendor Card

Use this page to create and edit vendor accounts. You can also view the statistics for a vendor for a specific entity. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

Assign Entity Security to a Vendor

To assign entity security to a vendor record, follow the steps in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation for creating or editing a vendor record, and incorporate the following steps: 

  1. Select Actions > MEM Assign Entity Security.
  2. On the MEM Master Security page, check that the Direction, Master Records, and corresponding record field are updated with the values you want.
  3. These fields are automatically updated based on the selected record and cannot be changed.

  4. In the Destination Lines, select one or more entities for the relationship.
  5. For new records, your default entity or the first entity (if no default entity is selected) in the list is automatically assigned to the record.

  6. Close the MEM Master Security page to return to the card page for the record.

Card Fields

This page contains the following fields: 

Field Description
Intercompany Entity

Select the entity to be use for intercompany trade transactions for the vendor record.

Note icon. Note: If intercompany transactions exist for the vendor record, this value cannot be edited or deleted.

Balance As Customer

Displays the balance for the vendor record when it is considered a customer. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

With Multi-Entity Management, the balance includes all amounts for the entities that apply to the contact record when it is a customer.

Intercompany Suite
Default IC Suite Entity Specify the default entity of the IC Suite partner.

Card Actions

This page contains the following actions: 

Vendor Card Actions
Action Description
Action > MEM Assign Entity Security

Opens the MEM Master Security page where you assign entities to the record.

When you select this action, the following header fields on the MEM Master Security are automatically updated as follows and cannot be changed: 

  • Direction is set to Master
  • Master Records is set to Vendor
  • Vendor is set to the record on this page
Navigate > History > 1099 Statistics Opens the Vendor 1099 Statistics page.
Navigate > History > Statistics Opens the Vendor Statistics page.
Navigate > History > MEM Entry Statistics Opens the Vendor Entry Statistics page.
Intercompany Suite
IC Suite Master Data Sync Opens the IC Suite Master Data Sync page.

Vendor 1099 Statistics

Use this page to view an overview of the 1099 amount totals for the selected vendor and entity combination. The Entity Filter on this window allows you to select one or more entities to which you have access.

  • When the Entity Filter contains specific entities, the report includes the totals for the specified entities.
  • When the Entity Filter contains a range of entities, the report includes the totals for the specified entity range.
  • When the Entity Filter is empty, the report shows all records includes the totals for the entities to which you have access.

For example, a vendor belongs to entities 100, 200, 300, and 400. When the Entity Filter is 100 and 200, the page is updated to show the vendor 1099 statistics for the vendor for the selected entities. To view the vendor 1099 statistics for different entities, change the Entity Filter.

View 1099 Statistics

To view the 1099 statistics for a vendor, follow these steps: 

  1. Open the Vendor Card page for the vendor record you want to view.
  2. Select Navigate > History > 1099 Statistics .
  3. In the dialog that appears, select the Entity Code you want to view.
  4. The Vendor 1099 Statistics page shows a list of all 1099 codes with the current totals for the specified entity.

  5. To see the 1099 statistics for a different entity, select a different Entity Code.

Fields

This page contains the following field: 

Action Description
Entity Code Displays the entity selected from the dialog when the page was opened. You can change the entity code to view different totals for the vendor for a different entity.

Vendor Statistics

Use this page to view the general statistics overview for the vendor. The Entity Filter on this window allows you to select one or more entities to which you have access.

  • When the Entity Filter contains specific entities, the report includes the totals for the specified entities.
  • When the Entity Filter contains a range of entities, the report includes the totals for the specified entity range.
  • When the Entity Filter is empty, the report shows all records includes the totals for the entities to which you have access.

View Vendor Statistics

  1. Open the Vendor Card page for the vendor record you want to view.
  2. Select Navigate > History > Statistics .
  3. In the dialog that appears, select one or more entities in the Entity Filter.
  4. The Vendor Statistics page shows the vendor statistic totals for the selected entities.

  5. To see the vendor statistics for different entities, select change the Entity Filter.

Vendor Entry Statistics

Use this page to view the entry statistics overview for the vendor. The Entity Code on this window allows you to select any entity to which you have access. For example, a vendor belongs to entities 100, 200, 300, and 400. When the Entity Code is 100, the page is updated to show the entry amounts for the vendor for the selected entity. To view the entry statistics for a different entity, change the Entity Code.

View Vendor Entry Statistics

To view the entry statistics for a vendor, follow these steps: 

  1. Open the Vendor Card page for the vendor record you want to view.
  2. Select Navigate > History > MEM Entry Statistics.
  3. Select the Entity Code you want to view.
    The page is updated with the vendor entry statistics for the specified entity.
  4. To see the vendor entry statistics for a different entity, select a different Entity Code.
