IC Suite Master Data Individual Records Sync

Use this page to select partners to which this individual record will be synced.

Synchronizing Individual Records

When you use IC Suite Synchronize from IC Partner, you are copying data from destination companies and using that data to replace – synchronize – records in your originating company.

IC Suite Master Data Sync

Use this section to learn how to manually synchronize records from originating companies to destination companies.

Before you can synchronize records make sure you have:

To synchronize records from one company to another, do the following:

  1. Go to the record card that you want to send to the other company or companies. You can send the following types of records:

    1. Vendor

    2. Customer

    3. Item

    4. Salesperson/Purchaser

    5. G/L Accounts

    6. Dimensions and Dimension Values

  2. Make sure the information on the record card is up to date and ready to be synchronized.

  3. Select More options > Actions > IC Suite Master Data Sync.

  4. In Dataset, select the dataset you want to use.

  5. Under Partners, select the partner or partners for the originating data. In other words, select the partners you want to send data from.

    1. Make sure to select Include for all the partners you want to synchronize.

  6. Under Table Fields, select the fields in the destination company that you want to synchronize with the originating data.

    1. Make sure to select Include for all the fields you want to synchronize.

  7. On the Action tab, select Synchronize > Synchronize.

  8. The IC Suite Master Data Sync. Log Entries page opens. You can see information about the synchronization and if it was successful.

IC Suite Synchronize from IC Partner

Use this section to learn how to copy data from an Intercompany Suite Partner (destination company) and synchronize it with the data of an originating company.

You can only copy data from the following types of records:

  • G/L Accounts

  • Dimensions

  • Dimension Values

Before you can synchronize records make sure you have:

To copy data from a destination company, do the following:

  1. Go to the record card that you want to synchronize data from. You can synchronize the following types of records:

    1. G/L Accounts

    2. Dimensions

    3. Dimension Values

  2. Make sure the information on the record card is up to date and ready to be synchronized.

  3. Select More options > Actions > IC Suite > IC Suite Synchronize from IC Partner.

  4. Select the IC Suite partner or partners you want to copy data from.

  5. Select the records of the partner or partners that you want to copy.

  6. On the Action tab, select Actions > Synchronize Accounts.

  7. The IC Suite Master Data Sync. Log Entriespage opens. You can see information about the synchronization and if it was successful.

General

The following field boxes are available: 

Field Description
Dataset Specify an existing dataset, to mark those fields and partners as included. Serves as a template.

Partners list

This table contains the following columns: 

Field Description
Partner Code Specifies the partner code.
Name Specifies the partner's name.
Include Specifies if the partner will be included in the synchronization.

Table Fields list

This table contains the following columns: 

Field Description
Field No Specifies the Field Number.
Field Name Specifies the Field Name.
Validate Specifies if the field value will be validated in the synchronization. Marked by default.
Include Specifies if the field will be included in the synchronization.

Actions

The following actions are available:

Synchronize Select this action to perform the synchronization for included partners and fields.
