Work Centers

Work centers are used in manufacturing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

The setting for Multi-Entity Management security for works centers is on the Security FastTab of the Multi-Entity Management Setup. The entity restrictions are applied to the following areas: 

Work Centers List

Use this page to review the list of work centers in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

When Work Center Security is turned on (on the Multi-Entity Management Setup page), the list shows only the records that belong to entities to which you have access.

List Fields

This list contains the following MEM columns:

Field	Description
Entity Code	Displays the owner entity assigned to the record.

Work Center Card

Use this page to create, modify, and delete work centers.

When adding a work center, the following fields are affected by Multi-Entity Management security. Only records that are attached to entities to which you have access are available to be selected.

• Posting FastTab
  • Subcontractor number
• Warehouse FastTab
  • Location code

Assign Entity Security to a Work Center

To assign entity security to a work center, use the MEM Assign Entity page and follow the steps for Assign Entity to Transactions.
