Licensing in Subscription Billing

In Subscription Billing, the following additional users can be added: 

• Delegated administrator
• Team Member

These types of users are standard in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and require a User Card with the necessary permission sets.

Delegated Administrator Licensed User

A delegated administrator is usually used by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central reselling partners to provide support for end-user customer issues. These licenses are free and do not have limits on the number of licenses available for an end-user customer's tenant.

For Subscription Billing, the delegated administrator has the same permission and functionality as the delegated administrator would have in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Team Member Licensed User

A Team Member license typically is used by people who require read access to data and execute tasks that do not require the full permission to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. For more information on Team Member licenses, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.

• Licensing in Dynamics 365 Business Central

When purchasing a Team Member license, keep the following notes in mind:

• A full licensed user is required.
• The access for a Team Member is based on the plan level purchased by the full licensed user. As a result, the Team Member license must have the same plan and billing frequency as the full licensed user.
• Coupons cannot be applied for purchasing a Team Member license.

• In the steps for purchasing a new license, set License Type to Team Member, the appropriate Team Member plan is available for selection.
• To renew a license, see steps for purchasing a license renewal.
• After the Team Member license is purchased, use the SBS Licensed Users Setup page to add users.
