1099 Reporting
The ability to generate 1099 tax forms for payments to vendors is a standard feature in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation.
When setting up Multi-Entity Management for 1099 reporting, ensure to set up the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pages before setting up the Multi-Entity Management windows.
In Business Central
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, use the following pages for the 1099 reporting feature:
- 1099 Form Boxes: Specify the minimum reportable amounts for each code.
- 1099 Adjustments: Specify the minimum reportable amounts for each vendor. This page is accessed from the 1099 Form Boxes (Adjustment Exists link).
- Vendor Card: Assign an IRS 1099 code to a vendor (Payments FastTab, IRS 1099 Code field).
- Vendor Ledger Entries: Review and edit the IRS 1099 Code and the IRS 1099 Amount for a individual ledger entries.
After the setup is completed and transactions are processed, you can review the amounts in the following reports:
- Vendor 1099 Dividend: Only the transactions that use a DIV code appear on the report. For example, DIV-09, DIV-08, etc.
- Vendor 1099 Interest: Only the transactions that use INT codes appear in the report. For example, INT-09, INT-08, etc.
- Vendor 1099 Miscellaneous: Only the transactions that use MISC code appear in the report. For example, MISC-09, MISC-08, etc.

In Multi-Entity Management, use the following page for the 1099 reporting feature:
- Multi-Entity Management Setup: On the 1099 Report FastTab, set up the options for 1099 reporting.
After the setup is completed and transactions are processed, you can review the 1099 Statistics in the Vendor Card.
