Setup Property Lease Management

Important: For a new installation of Property Lease Management and before setting up the Property Lease Management Parameters, ensure that you have generated the number sequence for Property Lease Management. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations documentation: 

Each of the tabs on the Property Lease Management Parameters help you set up default values and various settings for Property Lease Management.

General tab

  1. Set up the Lease section with the default settings that you plan to use for most leases.
  2. Set up the Invoice section with the default settings for the most created invoices on the Invoice Creator.
  3. Specify the Default Journal Names.
  4. To use the CAM feature, complete the boxes for the CAM Reconciliation and review the Common Area Maintenance workflow article.
  5. To use the sales based revenue reconciliation feature, complete the boxes for the Sales Based Revenue Reconciliation and review the Sales Based Reconciliation Workflow workflow article.

Categories tab

  1. Set up the different lease categories that you want to use.
  2. After setting up the categories, go to the Properties page to set up the levels for the categories.

Number Sequences tab

  • Check that the automatic number sequence that you want to use for the leases is available. For information on the number sequence, see the beginning of this article.

Term Types tab

  • Set up different term types that you want to use for the leases.

Deposits tab

  • Set up the different deposit types that you want to use.

Meters tab

  1. Set up meters that you want to use for the leases.
  2. After you have meters setup, go to the Charges page to set up consumption charges for the meters.

Property Lease Management Parameters

  • Set up different termination reasons for terminating a lease.
