Applying Charges
For a lease you can add a regular charge or a meter (or consumption) charge. The general workflow for each charge type is different.
Regular Charge
To be able to apply a regular charge to a lease, ensure the following setup is already completed with the rest of the general setup:
- On the Charges window, create the Regular charges that you need.
- For escalations, set up CPI Schedule and Rate Schedules.
After the charges and all setup is completed, you can attach the charges to the revenue or expense lease:
- On the Lease Details page, create the lease.
- On the Charges FastTab, add charges to the lease.
- On the Billing Lines page, specify the details for the charge and create the billing lines:
- On the Invoice Creator, create the invoices for the lease.
Meter (or Consumption) Charge
To be able to apply a meter (or consumption) charge to a lease, ensure the following setup is already completed:
- On the Property Lease Management Parameters window, on the Meters tab, set up the meters that you want to available for use.
- On the Charges window, create the Consumption charges that you need.
After the charges and all setup is completed, you can attach the charges to the revenue or expense lease:
- On the Lease Details page, create the lease.
- On the Charges FastTab, add charges to the lease.
- Specify the meter rate and enter the meter reading values manually or import them:
- On the Billing Lines page, specify the details for the charge and create the billing lines:
- On the Invoice Creator, create the invoices for the lease.
