Setup Property Lease Management

Important: For a new installation of Property Lease Management and before setting up the PLM Property Lease Management Setup, ensure that you have generated the number sequence for Property Lease Management. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documentation: 

PLM Default Settings

Each of the tabs on the PLM Property Lease Management Setup page helps you set up default values and various settings for Property Lease Management.

  1. Set up the Lease FastTab, with the default settings that you plan to use for most leases.
  2. On the Lease Type FastTab, select the lease type that is most often created.
  3. On the Default Journal Names FastTab, select the default journal batches to use.
  4. Set up the Lease Accounting Standard FastTab for use with the lease accounting standards (i.e., ASC 842/IFRS 16).
  5. Set up the CAM Reconciliation FastTab for use with common area maintenance (CAM) expenses.
  6. Set up the Sales-Based Reconciliation FastTab for use with sales based reconciliation of fees.
  7. In No. Series, check that the automatic number sequence that you want to use for the leases is available. For information on the number sequence, see the beginning of this article.
  8. Set up the Deposits FastTab with default journal batches for the different deposits.

Categories for Leasable Assets

To set up the categories for the leasable assets, follow these steps: 

  1. On the PLM Categories Setup window, set up the different categories for the leasable assets.
  2. After setting up the categories, go to the PLM Properties page to set up the levels for the categories.
